Elk hunting is Chris Nowak’s and my biggest passion but for the last 25 years, we’ve only hunted them with archery gear. We decided to head to an area familiar to us and go after them during the early rifle season. Our hopes and expectations were high, but in the dark timber, even with a rifle, things need to line up just right to be successful.
